Issaquah Day

The Domination of Eiler has expediently chosen the Seattle suburb of Issaquah-Washington for a weekend getaway, based largely on a cheap hotel. Or at least it's cheap by Seattle standards. But it has a bar and a pool!

Issaquah doesn't have things that tourists crowd to see. But it does have two little historical museums, a fish hatchery with lots of plaques, a state park with a lake beach, and a brewery. Plus nice views; the town is surrounded by mountains which they call the Issaquah Alps. And a street festival on Friday night, first weekend each month. Its ambiance is therefore roughly that of Billings-Montana, only with more trees. Good enough.
